This policy explains how Swiss Venture Growth Meyer-Scharenberg processes personal data. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Scope

This policy covers this website, contact inquiries, the provision of our consulting services and the sale of our digital products, including product websites that state they are operated by Swiss Venture Growth Meyer-Scharenberg.

3. Visiting this website

You can use this website without providing personal data. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and we do not set cookies on this website.

4. Server and log data

When you access the website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as IP address, date and time, requested page, browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website securely and to detect misuse. Log data is kept for a short period by the hosting provider and is not combined with other data.

5. Contact inquiries

If you contact us by email or through the contact form (which opens your own email application), we process your name, email address, company and the content of your message to answer your inquiry and, where relevant, to prepare an offer.

6. Customers and contracts

For customers we process contact, billing and contract data needed to provide our services, deliver digital products, issue invoices and meet statutory retention duties.

7. Payment processing

Payments are handled by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. (Ireland) and its group companies. When you pay, your payment details (for example card data) are entered directly with Stripe and are not stored by us. We receive confirmation of payment, the amount, your name, email address and billing details. Stripe processes data under its own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy), including for fraud prevention, and may transfer data to the United States.

8. Hosting

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., USA. Vercel processes the server data described in section 4 on our behalf.

9. Cookies and analytics

This website currently uses no cookies and no analytics or marketing tools. If we introduce such tools, we will update this policy beforehand and ask for consent where required.

10. AI services

When we work with customer data in consulting projects, we may use AI tools from established providers. We only do so to the extent agreed with the customer, choose settings that avoid use of your data for model training where available, and do not enter sensitive personal data without explicit agreement. Consumer products such as our travel guides are used by customers in their own AI accounts; we have no access to that data.

11. International transfers

Some providers (such as Vercel and Stripe) may process data in the United States or other countries. Where these countries do not offer adequate data protection, transfers rely on recognised safeguards such as the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

12. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose concerned. Accounting records and invoices are kept for ten years as required by Swiss law. Inquiries that do not lead to a contract are deleted after two years at the latest.

13. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access-restricted accounts, to protect personal data.

14. Your rights

You can request information about your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or data portability, and object to processing. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in the EU, to your local supervisory authority.
